BIO
A whirlwind of experimental rock combined with pop and theatrical aspects really gets audience members glued to the catchy tunes. Unlike the typical band, the sound is greatly enhanced by inventive means like a synthesized bassist and a sampler armed with sounds ranging from film scores to alarm clocks. Not to mention, interactive signs and balloons are used to keep the crowd involved.

Glittermouse was conceived when vocalist and guitarist, Michael Koester, and bassist, Jeremy Mumenthaler, started a project together in a college dorm room. Through various forms of friendship ties and connections over just a few weeks, Emily Sorlie, Shauna Eng, Rob Vignisson, Dave Bock and Jon Radtke form what is now Glittermouse.
Their first demo, Super Tactical Turbo Ultrascope, gained a lot of attention, with songs varying in subject matter from the love affairs of airborne bubbles to hoping that no one discovers the secret to eternal life. References to pop culture and literature often sneak into each song, making them more entertaining. Their music has been described as “Fraggle Rock – feel-good, poppy, catchy rock tunes.” Handmade demos were created by the band, which began selling rapidly among fans. This led to the creation of interactive instructional videos ranging from learning the stomp and clap motion featured in the song “Red Balloons” to an Infomercial with “Norm Highrise”
Winning over hearts isn’t always easy, but Glittermouse seems to know how to do it. Bringing love to each song and playing with energy and dedication, it’s difficult not to be swept up in the emotions of their music.
